Benefits of Massage
Why Should I Receive Massage? According to Associated Bodywork and Massage Practitioners, “Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress-related.”
As a licensed massage therapist, I offer holistic body massage, an alternative medicine with benefits including:
- Decreased anxiety
- Enhanced sleep quality
- Greater energy
- Improved concentration
- Increased circulation
- Reduced fatigue
- Alleviated pain
- Improved range of motion
Deep Swedish Massage- Long flowing strokes with lotion towards the heart will find and release systemic tension.
Grief Massage- Deep Swedish massage techniques, with a focus on cardiac massage, lymphatic drainage, and breathwork, this type of massage supports the mind/ body/spirit connection while it is processing trauma.
Palliative Massage- This work is incredibly light and gentle, applying lotion to the skin, holding and supporting body parts, bringing warmth and awareness to body parts, and being vigilant of the individual’s personal health conditions, pain levels, and current consciousness.
Trauma Touch Therapy TM- Neither a massage nor talk therapy, this is an advanced bodywork modality designed to meet the needs of those with histories of trauma. This is a body-based, integrative approach to healing trauma; utilizing the wisdom of the body, social engagement, curiosity, and self-empowerment
Add-on Treatments $10
Cupping Therapy uses suction to aid fascial tension release by drawing blood to and away from specific areas of the body.
Hot Stone Massage uses thermo-therapy to warm the tissues, ease local tension, relax the muscles, and rejuvenate the skin.
Sleep Assistance uses a weighted blanket and chilled eye mask with options of a table warm and large ice packs. This creates a perfect 15-minute napping experience after receiving a relaxing massage.
Charis leads you on a certified aromatherapy journey of scents to close out a massage session that brings balance and uplifts well-being to the mind, and by extension, the body.
As a certified crystal healer, Charis will use stones to close out a massage session to reconnect your soul to the earth and revitalize your spirit to experience a peaceful awareness of the Self in the ever-present.
We also provide gift certificates and a variety of self-care products including candles, decision-stone sets, stories in stones jewelry, essential oil blends, and more!
About Charis
Originally from Colorado, I am Charis Christopher-Cervantes, your Sage Ways massage therapist.
My name is my banner.
“Charis” means “grace, kindness, and life”.
“Christopher” is the saint of wayfarers and travelers.
“Cervantes” is Spanish for “servant”.
I draw from the depth of my namesakes; I am a traveling servant of goodwill and loving-kindness.
The knowledgeable, healing touch I offer aims to grow your inner harmony through authentic compassion.
My purpose is to witness and acknowledge the ephemeral nature of life in people, by experiencing imperfection, emotion, and the capacity to learn and live compassionately.
Sage Ways Massage Therapy, LLC
My mission is to provide and encourage a grounded, self-compassionate state of being through Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial massage.
My vision is to empower individuals, families, and communities to experience the present moment by assisting with relaxation and restoring perspective to individual life experiences through consistent healthy touch, education, and advocacy opportunities.
I earned my Massage Therapist license in 2022 through the Colorado School of Healing Arts having completed over 700 hands-on hours of bodywork.
I am certified in Palliative Massage, Aromatherapy, and Crystal Healing.
I am actively becoming a Death Doula, a midwife for the end of life; supporting families, caregivers, and all those who will eventually experience death through an externship in Trauma Touch Therapy, personal faith studies, and memento mori philosophies.

Testimonials
She is professional and begins each session with a comprehensive overview of health history and target areas. Charis explains what she is doing as she completes the massage. She was able to identify my area of pain, provide relief, and give me additional suggestions for exercises and strategies I could use in my everyday life. I always look forward to my massages with Charis!
